The vision of the COLE Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library is to serve as a leading resource of leadership and ethics for academics, practitioners and students. The library is the repository of materials such as books, videos, podcast, working papers, case studies, interview series, course syllabi and book recommendations. COLE also seeks out new materials from respected authors, scholars and business leaders worldwide as they are available to provide the most relevant and practical information for use in research and practice. Leadership and ethics books and articles are available for circulation at the Fuqua School of Business Ford Library.
The Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library was created in May of 2005 with a generous donation in honor of Dorothea F. Peterjohn.
The COLE Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library features course syllabi of professors who teach leadership and/or ethics. These syllabi provide a resource for academics considering creating new courses at their universities. To stimulate the creation of leadership and ethics courses, COLE will continue to build it's collection by asking professors who teach leadership and/or ethics at universities throughout the world to submit their course syllabi to the Library.
The COLE Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library houses various books on Leadership and Ethics that students, scholars, and business practitioners will find pertinent to their interests. These 600+ books, articles and papers include books written and co-authored by Duke faculty. These books are available in the Peterjohn Leadership Library section of the Fuqua School of Business Ford Library.
Periodically, COLE Center Scholars, Leadership Fellows and Management staff recommend books they have determined to be of best use to other scholars, practitioners, and students.
The COLE Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library archives highlights from previous Fuqua/Coach K Leadership Conferences including video clips of conference sessions featuring prominent and thoughtful leaders in business, education, sports, and the non-profit sector.
The COLE Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library features a collection of highlights from various Duke events relating to leadership and business ethics. From the COLE speaker series, the annual Fuqua/Coach K Leadership conference to the Distinguished Speaker Series, COLE provides educational opportunities in addition to formal curriculum programs.
In addition to formal curriculum programs, COLE offers a speaker lecture series for students and alumni. The speaker series provide both educational and networking opportunities for our constituents at Fuqua and also opportunities for collaboration with other parts of the University.
The COLE Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library features a collection of COLE interviews with knowledgeable scholars and business leaders on their experiences in leadership roles and ethical challenges. COLE will provide the transcripts of these interviews on this website as they are available.
The COLE Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library will feature a case study collection for the global academic community. This will include cases reserched and written by COLE Center Scholars, professors from other academic institution, winning cases, teaching notes, topic notes and excercises of the COLE case study competition.
The COLE Dorothea F. Peterjohn Leadership Library features a comprehensive collection of working papers. The collection will include working papers of COLE Center Scholars, Fuqua Professors and academics in the international community. This sharing of knowledge among top researchers and practitioners in their respective fields will facilitate the advancement of Leadership and Ethics globally.
